Jordan River Temple to Close for Renovations

The Jordan River Temple in South Jordan, Utah. The temple will be closed February 15, 2016, through the latter part of 2017 for extensive renovations.

The Church has announced that the Jordan River Temple in South Jordan, Utah, will be closed February 15, 2016, through the latter part of 2017 for extensive renovations.

Following the renovation, the temple will be rededicated. The Church will release information about the rededication as the renovation project nears completion.

Other temples in the Salt Lake Valley will accommodate members from the Jordan River Utah Temple District during the closure, including those desiring to receive their own ordinances. Members should contact one of these temples to make the necessary arrangements.

The Jordan River Temple was announced on February 3, 1978, and dedicated on November 16, 1981.
