New 2017 Mission Presidents Called to Serve in South Africa, England, U.S., and More

Eight new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in July.

Alpine German-speaking Mission

Christopher S. and Laura G. Brown

Christopher Shawn Brown, 53, and Laura Gale Scheidt Brown, five children, Prairie View Ward, Cheyenne Wyoming Stake: Alpine German-speaking Mission, succeeding President D. Brian Kohler and Sister Cheri C. Kohler. Brother Brown serves in a mission presidency and is a former bishop, high councilor, ward mission leader, elders quorum president, Scoutmaster, and missionary in the Germany Munich Mission. President of Appraisals, Inc., self-employed. Born in Kalispell, Montana, to Douglas Mitchell Brown and Charlotte Dawn Shaw Brown.

Sister Brown serves as a seminary teacher and is a former stake and ward Primary president, ward Young Women president, and Primary music leader. Born in Fresno, California, to George Walter Scheidt and Janis Gale McGee Scheidt.

Arizona Phoenix Mission

Kristin and Sean F. D. Collins

Sean Francis DeMille Collins, 50, and Kristin Poulson Collins, five children, Mountainville 4th Ward, Alpine Utah West Stake: Arizona Phoenix Mission, succeeding President Spencer Griffin and Sister Jeannie H. Griffin. Brother Collins is a former bishop, ward Young Men president, Primary teacher, and missionary in the Chile Concepcion Mission. Chief executive officer, Costa Vida and FatCats. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Jeremiah Francis Collins and Jacqueline Phal McFall Jackels.

Sister Collins is a former ward Primary presidency counselor, Young Women adviser, and Relief Society, Primary, and Gospel Doctrine teacher. Born in San Diego, California, to Jerald Francis Poulson and Dolores Jenene Fitch Poulson.

California Anaheim Mission

David R. and Deanna D. Golden

David Ross Golden, 60, and Deanna Dunn Golden, three children, Highland 36th Ward, Highland Utah West Stake: California Anaheim Mission, succeeding President Steven W. Taggart and Sister Teresa L. Taggart. Brother Golden serves as a high priests group assistant and is a former stake president, bishop, high councilor, and missionary in the Chile Concepcion Mission. Retired commercial banking executive. Born in Provo, Utah, to George Ross Golden and Ruth Emma Virginia Sundstrom.

Sister Golden serves as Sunday School teacher and is a former stake and ward Relief Society president and stake and ward Young Women president. Born in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Jerry Eugene Dunn and Edith Huntington Dunn.

South Africa Cape Town Mission

Thabo and Andronica Lebethoa

Thabo Kula James Lebethoa, 41, and Andronica Gadifele Matlapeng Lebethoa, four children, Florida 1st Ward, Soweto South Africa Stake: South Africa Cape Town Mission, succeeding President Steven J. Merrill and Sister Brenda L. Merrill. Brother Lebethoa is a former stake president, bishop, high councilor, and stake clerk. Area human resource manager, Corporation of the Presiding Bishop. Born in Soweto, South Africa, to Simon Holopi Lebethoa and Hilda Magadi Lebethoa.

Sister Lebethoa is a former ward Relief Society and Primary president, Sunday School teacher, and Relief Society compassionate service leader. Born in Rustenburg, South Africa, to Lesego Levy Matlapeng and Selina Damaria Matlapeng.

England Manchester Mission

Sheryl K. and Stuart N. McReynolds

Stuart Nathan McReynolds, 51, and Sheryl Kim Boydell McReynolds, four children, McDowell Mountain Ward, Scottsdale Arizona North Stake: England Manchester Mission, succeeding President Mark D. Ulrich and Sister Laura Ulrich. Brother McReynolds serves in a bishopric and is a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, high priests group leader, Gospel Doctrine teacher, and missionary in the England London Mission. Vice president, American Express GBT. Born in Anstey, England, to Malcolm Saulsbury McReynolds and Shirley Anne Bonsell McReynolds.

Sister McReynolds serves as a seminary teacher and is a former ward Relief Society and Primary president, ward Young Women presidency counselor, and Gospel Doctrine teacher. Born in Wrexham, Wales, to Leonard Boydell and Joan Irene Ball Boydell.

Argentina Mendoza Mission

Fernando E. and Beatriz Panzacchi

Fernando Elbio Panzacchi Massia, 56, and Lidia Beatriz Gea de Panzacchi, six children, Montevideo 13th Ward, Montevideo Uruguay North Stake: Argentina Mendoza Mission, succeeding President Kevin R. Goates and Sister Dianne Goates. Brother Panzacchi serves as a high councilor and is a former bishop, stake Sunday School president, high priests group leader, EFY session director, and missionary in the Italy Rome Mission. Business owner and director, metal construction company. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, to Wilson Panzacchi and María Julia Massia de Panzacchi.

Sister Panzacchi is a former stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward Relief Society and Primary president, seminary teacher, and EFY session director. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, to Carlos Gea and Irma Pais de Gea.

California San Diego Mission

Mark D. and Jan G. Stubbs

Mark Darwin Stubbs, 66, and Jan Green Stubbs, five children, Canyon View 3rd Ward, Orem Utah Canyon View Stake: California San Diego Mission, succeeding President Jonathan S. Schmitt and Sister Alexis U. Schmitt. Brother Stubbs is a former bishop, high councilor, ward mission leader, Young Men adviser, and missionary in the Colombia Venezuela Mission.
