New Mission Presidents Called for Temple Square, Cote d’Ivoire, Colorado, Ghana

The First Presidency has called the following new mission presidents. They will begin their service in July 2017.

Cote d’Ivoire Abidjan Mission

Sabwe and Lilly Binene

Sabwe Binene, 47, and Lilly Kabumba Binene, four children, Kabusanga Ward, Luputa Democratic Republic of the Congo Stake: Cote d’Ivoire Abidjan Mission, succeeding President Marc Sahy and Sister Akassiba M. Sahy.

Brother Binene serves as a stake president and is a former district president, seminary supervisor, and ward mission leader. Owner, private school. Born in Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, to Benjamin Sabwe Katete and Mulaji Kabamba.

Sister Binene is a former branch Relief Society president and ward Relief Society teacher. Born in Likasi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, to Fortunat Binene Tshibembe and Justine Muadi Kabongo.

Utah Salt Lake City Headquarters Mission

Jerry D. and Sara M. Fenn

Jerry Duane Fenn Jr., 61, and Sara Jill McConkie Fenn, six children, Ensign Peak Ward, Salt Lake Stake: Utah Salt Lake City Headquarters Mission, succeeding President Warren G. Tate and Sister Suzanne J. Tate.

Brother Fenn serves as a high councilor. He presided over the Illinois Chicago and Chicago West Missions and is a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, and missionary in the California Oakland Mission. Retired attorney. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Jerry Duane Fenn and Faleice Webster Fenn.

Sister Fenn serves as a ward Young Women presidency counselor. She served with her husband in the Illinois Chicago and Chicago West Missions and is a former ward Relief Society and Primary president. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Bruce Redd McConkie and Amelia Smith McConkie.

Ghana Cape Coast Mission

Rodney H. and Melanie J. Hillam

Rodney Harold Hillam, 54, and Melanie Joyce Johnson Hillam, four children, Taylor View Ward, Idaho Falls Taylor Mountain Stake: Ghana Cape Coast Mission, succeeding President R. Scott Stevenson and Sister Marion Stevenson.

Brother Hillam serves in a stake presidency and is a former bishop, high councilor, Scoutmaster, and missionary in the Netherlands Amsterdam Mission. Self-employed orthodontist. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Harold Gordon Hillam and Carol Lois Rasmussen Hillam.

Sister Hillam serves as a BYU–Idaho institute teacher and is a former stake Young Women presidency counselor, stake Young Women camp director, ward Young Women president, and missionary in the Utah Salt Lake City North Mission. Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, to Grant Orton Johnson and Elmoyne Effie Johnson.

Cindi and Henry Scott Savage

Colorado Denver North Mission

Henry Scott Savage, 56, and Cindi Berrett Savage, six children, Lakeridge 5th Ward, Orem Utah Lakeridge Stake: Colorado Denver North Mission, succeeding President Brent M Mendenhall and Sister Susan C. Mendenhall.

Brother Savage is a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, high councilor, stake Young Men president, and missionary in the Colorado Denver Mission. Managing director, FranklinCovey Co. Born in San Rafael, California, to Henry Carlyle Savage and Ann Louise Roskelley Savage.

Sister Savage is a former stake and ward Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Young Women president, Gospel Doctrine teacher, institute teacher, and missionary in the Colorado Denver Mission. Born in Tacoma, Washington, to Frank Edward Berrett and Irene Beth Fullmer Berrett.
