New Temple President Called for Buenos Aires Argentina Temple
The First Presidency has called a new temple president and matron. They will begin their service later this year.

Emilio Carlos Canga, 70, Castelar Ward, Buenos Aires Argentina Castelar Stake, called as president of the Buenos Aires Argentina Temple, succeeding President Carlos R. Fernández. President Canga’s wife, Graciela Ida Álvarez de Canga, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Beatriz A. O. Fernández. He serves as first counselor in the Buenos Aires Argentina Temple presidency. He has served as stake president, bishop, patriarch, branch president, counselor in the San José Costa Rica Temple presidency, and counselor in the Argentina Missionary Training Center presidency. A retired controller for the Church, he was born in Morón, Argentina, to Emilio and Elena Clotilde Canga.
Sister Canga serves as assistant to the matron at the Buenos Aires Argentina Temple. She has also served as assistant to the matron of the San José Costa Rica Temple; ward Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary president; and temple ordinance worker. She was born in Haedo, Argentina, to José Pedro and Amerina Álvarez.
