New Temple President Called for Toronto Ontario Temple

A new temple president and his wife have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service immediately.

John K. and Janell B. Pallin.

John Kent Pallin, 63, Brampton Ward, Brampton Ontario Stake, has been called as president of the Toronto Ontario Temple, succeeding President Gordon K. Macmichael, who recently passed away. President Pallin’s wife, Janell Louise Burk Pallin, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Judith K. Macmichael. He served as first counselor in the Toronto Ontario Temple presidency, high councilor, stake mission president, bishop’s counselor, high priests group leader, and elders quorum president. Retired director of network provisioning for Bell Canada, he was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Everett Sherman and June Marie Marchant Pallin.

Sister Pallin served as assistant to the matron at the Toronto Ontario Temple, counselor in stake Relief Society and Young Women presidencies, ward Young Women president, ward young single adult adviser and seminary teacher. She was born in Oakland, California, to James Sidney and Frances Jane Krill Burk.
