New Temple Presidents Called for Star Valley, Hartford, London, and other Temples

The First Presidency has called the following eight new temple presidents and matrons:

Star Valley Wyoming Temple

McKell W Allred, 68, Salt River Ward, Afton Wyoming Stake, called as president of the new Star Valley Wyoming Temple. President McKell’s wife, Glenae Draney Allred, will serve as temple matron. He is a high priests group instructor, Scout leader, and former stake president, bishop, elders quorum president, stake Young Men president’s counselor, and temple ordinance worker. A retired designer and facilities manager, he was born in Afton, Wyoming, to Ronald Edwin and Elda Smith Weber Allred.

Sister Allred is a ward organist and pianist and has served as ward Primary president, Young Women adviser, and temple ordinance worker. She was born in Afton, Wyoming, to Gleno Welker and Renee Pendleton Draney.

Columbia River Washington Temple

Marvin Tanner Brinkerhoff, 68, Five Oaks Ward, Cedar Mill Oregon Stake, called as president of the Columbia River Washington Temple, succeeding President George E. Johnson. President Brinkerhoff’s wife, Cailynn Gailey Brinkerhoff, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Evelyn Johnson. Brother Brinkerhoff serves as a director of public affairs and has served as an Area Seventy, president of the Idaho Pocatello Mission, stake president, bishop, and high councilor. Retired director of internal audit, he was born in Richfield, Utah, to Wilford Stanley and Hilma Brinkerhoff.

Sister Brinkerhoff serves as a director of public affairs. She served with her husband as he served as a mission president. She also served in stake and ward Relief Society and Primary presidencies, as ward music chair, and as a temple worker. She was born in Ogden, Utah, to Blain S. and Opal L. Gailey.

Chicago Illinois Temple

Sherman L. Doll, 62, Concord 1st Ward, Concord California Stake, called as president of the Chicago Illinois Temple, succeeding President Douglas V. Nelson. President Doll’s wife, Linda Susan Duncan Doll, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Mary Nelson. Brother Doll is a high priests group leader and former president of the Illinois Chicago and Illinois Chicago North Missions, president of the Chile Missionary Training Center, stake president’s counselor, and bishop. Retired CPA and partner with a financial firm, he was born in Sacramento, California, to Elwood Leroy Doll and Joe Ann Brake Doll.

Sister Doll is a counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency and served with her husband as he served as a mission president and MTC president. She also served in a stake Young Women presidency and as a temple ordinance worker. She was born in Oakland, California, to Paul Wendell Duncan and Lorraine Marie Sousa Duncan.

Mexico City Mexico Temple

Lester Floyd Johnson, 61, Juárez 1st Ward, Colonia Juárez Mexico Stake, called as president of the Mexico City Mexico Temple, succeeding President Manuel González Calvo. President Johnson’s wife, Debra Gail Kobylarz Johnson, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Margarita Rodríguez de González. Brother Johnson served as an Area Seventy, president of the México Veracruz Mission, stake president, bishop, and high councilor. Owner and operator of fruit orchards, he was born in Colonia Juárez, Mexico, to Leroy and Rita Johnson.

Sister Johnson serves as a ward activity specialist and welfare facilitator for strengthening families. She served with her husband as he served as a mission president. She has also served in a stake Relief Society presidency, as ward Primary president, and in ward Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary presidencies. She was born in Paterson, New Jersey, to Emil Joseph Kobylarz and Marjorie Marion Den Herder Mondrone.

Hong Kong China Temple

Richard Fook-Suen Lee, 70, Plano 9th Ward, Plano Texas Stake, called as president of the Hong Kong China Temple, succeeding President Chung Hei Patrick Wong. President Lee’s wife, June So Tong Chan Lee, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Lai Ling Kathy Wong. Brother Lee is in a branch presidency and is a temple missionary. He served as branch president, high councilor, high priests group leader, elders quorum president, and temple ordinance worker. Retired senior geophysical adviser, he was born in Poon Yu, Kwang Tung, China, to Lee Ka Yung and Ho Kon Ching.

Sister Lee serves as a temple worker. She has also served in ward and branch Relief Society and Primary presidencies and as activities committee chair. She was born in Hong Kong, China, to Konyil and Maureen Mui Tsu Chan.

London England Temple

Michael Robert Otterson, 67, Orchards Ward, Farmington Utah North Stake, called as president of the London England Temple, succeeding President Kenneth Johnson. President Otterson’s wife, Catherine Berry Otterson, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Pamela V. Johnson. Brother Otterson serves as a family history consultant and temple preparation teacher. He has served as stake president, branch president, mission president’s counselor, and high priests group leader. Managing director of the Church’s Public Affairs Department, he was born in Liverpool, England, to Robert and Doris Dix Otterson.

Sister Otterson serves as a family history consultant and temple preparation teacher. She has served as a Welfare Services missionary, ward Relief Society and Primary teacher, and seminary teacher. She was born in Liverpool, England, to William and Annie Giles Berry.

Hartford Connecticut Temple

Wayne Spencer Taylor, 66, Glastonbury Ward, Hartford Connecticut Stake, called as president of the new Hartford Connecticut Temple. President Taylor’s wife, Carol Jean Starkey Taylor, will serve as temple matron. He serves as a high priests group assistant and Primary teacher. He has served as stake president, high councilor, stake Young Men president, and stake mission president. A retired financial consolidations manager, he was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph Spencer and Doris Dimond Taylor.

Sister Taylor serves as a Relief Society compassionate service coordinator. She has served as stake and ward Young Women president, stake Young Women camp director, ward Relief Society presidency counselor, and Gospel Doctrine, seminary, and Primary teacher. She was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to Donald Gene and Eutha Belle Mable Burnett Starkey.

Philadelphia Pennsylvania Temple

Bruce R Winn, 60, Wilmington 2nd Ward, Wilmington Delaware Stake, called as president of the new Philadelphia Pennsylvania Temple. President Winn’s wife, Nancy Kay Holderness Winn, will serve as temple matron. He serves as a counselor in a stake presidency and as stake audit committee chairman. He has served as president of the Utah Salt Lake City Mission, bishop, branch president, high councilor, and BYU–Idaho Pathway missionary. Chairman of the board of Corporation Service Company, he was born in Logan, Utah, to Paul Bennett and Donna Rae Winn.

Sister Winn serves as a Primary teacher and temple worker. She served with her husband as he served as a mission president and has also served in a stake Young Women and Primary presidency and as ward Young Women president, Pathway missionary, and seminary teacher. She was born in Sacramento, California, to James Skiffington and Ardelle Sarah Holderness.
