President Russell M. Nelson, President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, issued a special video invitation Thursday to young adults around the world.

President Nelson and his wife, Sister Wendy Nelson, will both speak at the Worldwide Devotional for Young Adults on Sunday, January 8, which originates from the Marriott Center on the campus of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

In the video, Elder Nelson said he and Sister Nelson are looking forward to Sunday's devotional, then issued a two-point invitation to young adults regarding how they can prepare for the event:

1.  Read Doctrine and Covenants 84:43–45.

2. Consider what they are doing to “live by every word that proceedeth forth from the mouth of God.”

The devotional broadcast will be transmitted live on the Church satellite system, the home page of LDS.org, and other media. All young single adults (ages 18–30), students who will be finishing high school or the equivalent by the end of April 2017, and married young adults are invited to attend.

Shortly after the live broadcast, a recording of the devotional will be archived on devotionals.lds.org and on the Gospel Library app. That recording may be streamed or downloaded at any time.
