The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released new information for three temples still in the planning phase, providing artists’ renderings of the Hartford Connecticut and Indianapolis Indiana Temples (pictured above), and announcing the site selection for the Star Valley Wyoming Temple.

Wyoming’s new temple will be constructed east of U.S. Highway 89 on the Haderlie Farm property south of Afton. (See a map here.)

“Our [Latter-day Saint] community members are elated at the prospect of a temple in our valley,” said Afton mayor Loni Hillyard. “I view the temple as an asset and am certain it will have a positive effect on our entire community. We look forward to working with the architect and Church representatives as they move forward on this project.”

The Connecticut and Indiana Temples were announced during October 2010 general conference; the Star Valley Wyoming Temple was announced in October 2011. Once construction of a new temple begins, it is expected to take approximately two years to complete.
