Eight New Mission Presidents Have Been Assigned to Their Missions

Eight new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in July.

New Mexico Farmington Mission

David Grant Adams, 61, and Cherie Jensen Adams, three children, Dry Canyon Ward, Logan Utah Mount Logan Stake: New Mexico Farmington Mission, succeeding President Doyle L. Batt and Sister Karen Batt. Brother Adams serves as a ward missionary and is a former stake president, bishop, and high councilor. President, Adams Construction Company, Inc. Born in Riverside, California, to Grant Allen Adams and Verlene Palmer Adams.

Sister Adams is serving as a ward missionary and is a former ward Primary president, counselor in a stake Primary presidency, and institute women’s adviser. Born in Sacramento, California, to Harold F. Jensen and Carol Lou Moser Jensen.

Philippines Bacolod Mission

Christopher Alameda Barredo, 44, and Ana Quillo Ongsingco Barredo, three children, Sumulong 2nd Ward, Marikina Philippines Stake: Philippines Bacolod Mission, succeeding President Marlo O. Lopez and Sister Memnet P. Lopez. Brother Barredo serves as a stake high councilor and is a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, institute teacher, Gospel Doctrine teacher, and missionary in the Philippines San Pablo Mission. Area facilities manager, Corporation of the Presiding Bishop. Born in Bacolod City, Philippines, to Carlos Flores Barredo and Rosario Caper Alameda Barredo.

Sister Barredo serves as a ward Relief Society president and is a former stake Primary president, Gospel Doctrine teacher, institute teacher, and missionary in the Philippines Ilagan Mission. Born in Bacolod City, Philippines, to Robert Daipal Ongsingco and Leonisa Malunes Quillo Ongsingco.

Brazil Porto Alegre North Mission

José Vianna Campos Jr., 49, and Vera L. Campos, five children, Alecrim Ward, Natal Brazil Stake: Brazil Porto Alegre North Mission, succeeding President D. Layne Wright and Sister Marian Wright. Brother Campos serves in a mission presidency and as an area family history adviser and is a former stake president, mission presidency counselor, bishop, and missionary in the Brazil Porto Alegre Mission. Retired bank administrator and Seminaries and Institutes coordinator. Born in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, to Jose Vianna Campos and Ana Maria da Silva Maux.

Sister Campos serves as a stake Relief Society president and is a former stake Primary president, ward Young Women president, and missionary in the Brazil Curitiba Mission. Born in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, to José Clementino and Marcolina Blandina de Carvalh.

Japan Fukuoka Mission

Bradley C Egan, 58, and Mikalyn Brundage Egan, four children, Oak Woods Ward, Kaysville Utah Crestwood Stake: Japan Fukuoka Mission, succeeding President C. Samuel Gustafson and Sister Linda K. Gustafson. Brother Egan is a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, ward Sunday School teacher, stake young single adult adviser, elders quorum president, ward Young Men president, and missionary in the Japan Kobe Mission. Amusement park consultant, self-employed. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Doyle Carlos Egan and Shirley Petersen Egan.

Sister Egan is a former stake welfare specialist, ward Relief Society president, ward Primary and Young Women presidency counselor, stake young single adult adviser, Cub Scout leader, and nursery leader. Born in Salt Lake City to Michael Brundage and Carolyn Hogan Brundage Stoddard.

Texas Houston South Mission

Aaron Tracy Hall, 43, and Kimberly Wade Hall, four children, Ben Lomond 11th Ward, North Ogden Utah Ben Lomond Stake: Texas Houston South Mission, succeeding President Brian K. Ashton and Sister Donna Ashton. Brother Hall is a former bishop, ward Young Men president, high councilor, stake executive secretary, elders quorum president, and missionary in the Chile Osorno Mission. Director, Mercato Partners, and faculty, Weber State University. Born in Provo, Utah, to Alan Eugene Hall and Paula Jeanne Nowak Hall.

Sister Hall serves as a ward Relief Society presidency counselor and is a former Primary teacher, Young Women camp director, ward activities chair, ward Primary presidency counselor, and ward Young Women adviser. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Roger Earl Wade and Clydene Green Wade.

Taiwan Taipei Mission

Jace Bart Jergensen, 52, and Jennifer McOmber Jergensen, six children, Fox Ridge Ward, River Heights Utah Stake: Taiwan Taipei Mission. Brother Jergensen is a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, bishopric counselor, stake Young Men president, and missionary in the Taiwan Taipei Mission. Senior vice president, Icon Health & Fitness. Born in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Rey L. Jergensen and Faye Waldram Jergensen VanLeeuwen.

Sister Jergensen is a former ward Young Women and Primary president, ward Primary and Young Women presidency counselor, Gospel Doctrine teacher, and Young Women adviser. Born in St. George, Utah, to Emerson Tindal McOmber and Rhea Kaye Tobler McOmber.

Argentina Santa Fe Mission

Gabriel Pérez Benavides, 58, and Margot Faúndez de Pérez, three children, San Pedro Ward, San Pedro Chile Stake: Argentina Santa Fe Mission. Brother Pérez is a former stake president, stake presidency counselor, high councilor, bishopric counselor, elders quorum president, and missionary in the Chile Santiago South Mission. Washington Seattle Mission

Anthony Wayne Schofield, 65, and Rebecca Ann Rosecrans Schofield, eight children, American Fork 19th Ward, American Fork Utah North Stake: Washington Seattle Mission, succeeding President Yoon H. Choi and Sister Bon K. Choi. Brother Schofield serves as a stake Young Men presidency counselor and is a former stake president, high councilor, bishop, stake mission president, and missionary in the Northwestern States Mission.
