FamilySearch on YouTube Provides Resources

  • 18 August 2011

The newly updated FamilySearch YouTube channel gives viewers an informative look at different aspects of genealogy through a growing number of videos in five playlists. Videos are available for both the rookie genealogist and the seasoned veteran.

The Genealogy in 5 Minutes playlist demonstrates how individuals with little or no genealogy experience can make significant progress on their family’s history.

The Woven Generations playlist features personal experiences from those who have found success or inspiration through family history work.

FamilySearch sent camera crews to Virginia, Ohio, California, and Indiana, USA, as well as to other locations for a closer look at how FamilySearch works with genealogical societies and archives to provide access to more records online and to further mutual interests in family history. These videos can be found in the Genealogical Societies and Archives playlist.

These videos and others are available at the FamilySearch YouTube channel. They can be useful in teaching and learning about family history or introducing family history to friends or family members.
