Hastening the Work of Salvation Is a Matter of Faith

Hastening the work of salvation is a matter of faith, Elder Marcos A. Aidukaitis said at the 2014 Seminar for New MTC Presidents and Visitors’ Center Directors on January 14.
“If God wants to hasten the work now, it’s because it can be done,” Elder Aidukaitis declared. “It’s because it’s supposed to be done.
“It’s a privilege for all of us to be involved in hastening the work of salvation, and thus we should expect that during our course of service, the work indeed accelerates.”
Citing Alma 32:21, which states that faith is not to have a perfect knowledge, he asked how it could be applied to hastening the work of salvation.
“The missionaries that will be coming to you don’t have a perfect knowledge of their capability to bring people unto Christ,” he said. “They don’t have a perfect knowledge that this is indeed a time of hastening the work. But they should believe with all of their power that this is indeed a time of hastening, that Christ wants this hastening to occur, that if they believe it and God is pleased with their work, miracles will happen because of the power of God, and the work will hasten.”
