New Temple Presidents Called
Two new temple presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service later this year.
Kona Hawaii Temple
Olivia A. and Philip A. Harris
Philip Alfred Harris, 73, Keei Ward, Kona Hawaii Stake, called as president of the Kona Hawaii Temple, succeeding President Boyd P. Mossman. His wife, Olivia Frieda Ah Mu Harris, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Maile M. Mossman. A sealer in the Kona Hawaii Temple and a stake auditor, he has served as stake president, bishop, high councilor, and stake executive secretary. A semi-retired owner of P.A. Harris Electric, he was born in Vavau, Tonga, to Percy Claude and Ana Kuliana Harris.
Sister Harris serves in a ward Relief Society presidency. She has served as stake Relief Society president, counselor in a stake Young Women presidency, and ward Young Women and Primary president. She was born in Pesega Upolu, Samoa, to Olsen and Dora Rigina Ahmu.
Caracas Venezuela Temple
Álvaro José and Maria Coromoto Pineda
Álvaro José Pineda Reyes, 60, Caurimare Ward, Caracas Venezuela Palo Verde Stake, called as president of the Caracas Venezuela Temple, succeeding President Luis M. Petit. His wife, María Coromoto León Rincón de Pineda, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Juana P. de Petit. Currently serving as first counselor in the Caracas Venezuela Temple presidency, he has served also as second counselor in the Caracas Venezuela Temple, bishop, branch president, and high councilor. A retired materials analyst, he was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, to Álvaro Ennodio Pineda Gutiérrez and María Filomena Reyes Paredes de Pineda.
Sister Pineda serves as an assistant to the matron at the Caracas Venezuela Temple. She has also served as ward Relief Society president, stake family history center director, and temple ordinance worker. She was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, to Lorenzo Enrique León Maldonado and Ada Ligia Prado Rincón de León.
