Article Highlights

  • Open house: August 19–September 10
  • Dedication: October 16

A free public open house for the Fort Collins Colorado Temple begins Friday, August 19, and goes through Saturday, September 10, 2016 (except for Sundays). Reserve tickets for the open house at tickets.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

The cultural celebration takes place on Saturday, October 15. The temple then will be dedicated in three sessions on Sunday, October 16, 2016—at 9:00 a.m., noon, and 3:00 p.m.—with services broadcast to meetinghouses in Colorado and the Fort Collins Temple district. The three-hour block of meetings will be cancelled for that Sunday to allow members to participate in the dedication services.

The temple will serve approximately 44,000 members of the Church from northern Colorado and southern Wyoming.

The temple is located on the southeast corner of the intersection at Trilby Road and Timberline Road, across the street from a Latter-day Saint meetinghouse in Fort Collins.

This will be the second temple in Colorado—the Denver Temple was dedicated in 1986. There are more than 150,000 Latter-day Saints in Colorado.
