Statement on Attack in Nice, France

A cargo truck driven into crowds of people celebrating Bastille Day in Nice, France, on July 14 left 84 dead and 303 injured.

Elder Patrick Kearon, a General Authority Seventy and President of the Church's Europe Area, shared this statement:

“The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Europe, and particularly members of the Church in France, join all people of goodwill to express their deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the tragic event in Nice. We mourn as we consider this tragedy and pray for those affected, for their families and loved ones.”
