  • 21 May 2015

Android users can now enjoy the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s music at their fingertips with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir app.

“We want listeners worldwide to have access to the choir and its music.” —Scott Barrick, choir general manager

Android users can now enjoy the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s music at their fingertips with the app introduced May 6.

Download this version of the choir app on any Android mobile device to access choir music, blogs, and news and even shop for albums. Just weeks ago, the Choir released an app for iOS users (see related story).

The choir is reaching a much broader and younger audience through its mormontabernaclechoir.org website, blogs, and tweets, as well as posts to Instagram and Pinterest. “We want listeners worldwide to have access to the choir and its music,” Scott Barrick, general manager, explains. “That is happening.  We have a concentrated fan base in the United States, but we are seeing significant connections as far away as the Philippines and Peru.”

The app distills content from the choir’s website into what is most significant to mobile users, including the choir’s 24/7 music stream powered by the Mormon Channel, the Sacred Music Library, the latest news, feature stories, and the blog. Choir CDs, digital music albums, books, and DVDs can be purchased from the new app as well.
