The worldwide Face to Face event in May featured a discussion with Elder and Sister Bednar with youth around the world. Elder Bednar taught youth a pattern for finding their own answers.

Even though it has been several months since Criszana (Kisza) Diorella Divinagracia, 17, of the Quezon City Philippines Stake participated in the worldwide Face to Face activity with Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Sister Susan Bednar, she has not forgotten what she learned.

“I felt that Heavenly Father really listens to our problems and is aware of us,” Kisza said after the worldwide event for youth, held May 12.

The worldwide activity featured a discussion with Elder and Sister Bednar. Youth around the world asked them questions.

The purpose of the event was to help youth strengthen their testimonies as they learned a pattern for receiving answers to their questions.

“The thing that I liked most about participating in Elder Bednar’s Face to Face discussion was the opportunity given to us youth from the Philippines to ask questions and be answered by an Apostle of the Lord and his wife,” Kisza said. “With each question that they answered, I really felt the Holy Ghost telling me of its truthfulness, and this strengthened my testimony of how the Lord uses His apostles and prophets as instruments to help people come unto Christ.”

Krisza said she felt that the questions that were asked and answered by Elder and Sister Bednar “were for all of us youth around the world.”

“I felt the Spirit telling me that it is not only applicable to me, but also to all of us youth that were listening from different parts of the world,” she said. “I remember feeling the presence of the Spirit the whole time.”

Even though Elder and Sister Bednar were across the globe, Krisza said during the event it “felt like we were in the same room.”

“I may not remember everything that they said or every word that came out from their mouths, but I know that I will forever remember the great and unexplainable feeling that I felt during the whole discussion,” she said.

Krisza said that if she could speak directly to Elder and Sister Bednar, she would thank them for sharing their individual experiences and personal insights that gave her and other youth direction and guidance. “I’d tell them that this experience helped me strengthen my personal testimony about the Church and that the Spirit has confirmed to me that this Church is the only true Church on the face of the earth.

“I’m grateful for the experience to hear answers from leaders of the Church that are truly called of God.”
