Three New Temple Presidents Called
Three new temple presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service later this year.
Ogden Utah Temple
Fredrick III and Kathleen S. L. Froerer
Fredrick Froerer III, 69, Middle Fork Ward, Huntsville Utah Stake. President Froerer’s wife, Kathleen Silver Larsen Froerer, will serve as temple matron. He serves as ward Sunday School president and has served as president of the Ghana Missionary Training Center, president of the Canada Montreal Mission, counselor in a stake presidency, bishop, high councilor, member of the Utah North Area Public Affairs Council, and temple ordinance worker. An Ogden City assistant city attorney, he was born in Logan, Utah, to Fredrick and Phyllis Margaret Brown Froerer Jr.
Sister Froerer serves as a member of the ward Relief Society weekday committee. She served with her husband as he presided over the Ghana Missionary Training Center and as he was a mission president and has been a stake Relief Society and Primary president, ward Relief Society president, member of the Utah North Area Public Affairs Council, and temple ordinance worker. She was born in Ogden, Utah, to Donald Sorensen and Louise Moyle Silver Larsen.
Jordan River Utah Temple
James R. and Vicki A. F. Matsumori
James Reed Matsumori, 63, South Cottonwood Ward, Murray Utah South Stake, succeeding President Robert P. Haight. President Matsumori’s wife, Vicki Aileen Fujii Matsumori, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Dorothy H. Haight. A member of the Church Audit Committee, he has served as president of the Washington D.C. North Mission, stake president, and high councilor. An investment banker, he was born in Salt Lake City to Minoru Jim and Mary Tetsumi Matsumori.
Sister Matsumori serves as a Sunday School teacher. She has served as second counselor in the general Primary presidency, with her husband as he was a mission president, and as ward Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary president. She was born in Salt Lake City to George Yasuyuki and Matsumoto Yoshie Fujii.

Cecil O. Jr. and Sharon G. Samuelson
Cecil Osborn Samuelson Jr., 72, Holladay 25th Ward, Salt Lake Holladay South Stake, succeeding President O. Claron Alldredge Jr. President Samuelson’s wife, Sharon Giauque Samuelson, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Lillian S. Alldredge. An emeritus General Authority, he was recently released as president of Brigham Young University and has served as a member of the Presidency of the Seventy, regional representative, stake president, branch president, and high councilor. A retired physician, he was born in Salt Lake City to Cecil Osborn and Janet Brazier Samuelson.
Sister Samuelson has served as ward Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary president. She was born in Salt Lake City to James Arnold and Evva Marjorie Reese Giauque Jr.
