This new LDS.org Web site is still being developed. As a result, some sections are not yet complete, and some of the materials found in the current LDS.org are not yet available on the new LDS.org. We ask for your patience as you use the new site. If you have specific questions or want to let us know about a problem with the new Web site, please use the Feedback link at the bottom of almost any page. We also invite you to use that same link to share with us your experiences with this new site.
When complete, this section of the new LDS.org will highlight the importance of education in our lives and provide resources to help people find opportunities to gain both secular and religious education.
Education has been a priority since the early days of the Church. The Prophet Joseph Smith established institutions of learning for the early Saints. Today the Church provides opportunities to learn through a small number of Church universities—as well as through seminaries and institutes of religion in many locations. The Church also provides financial support for learning through the Perpetual Education Fund.
