The Journeys and Events of the Life of Abraham

Abraham lived as stranger in the land that was promised to him. However, long periods of famine necessitated his wanderings from there so that he could care for his herds and flocks. And although he never possessed the land himself, he had a promise and a knowledge that his seed would one day receive it. (Gen. 13:2, 5; Heb. 11:8–16.)
