Dance Festival Scheduled in Southern California

More than 7,000 young people from 53 stakes will perform for an anticipated 60,000 spectators at the 1973 Southern California Area Dance Festival on July 28 in the Pasadena Rose Bowl arena. Costumes by the thousands are being prepared for the various dances, including Latin American, folk, square, contemporary, and a special international number. Modeling their costumes, above, are members of the Fullerton Second Ward, Fullerton Stake: Sandy and Patrick Poor, Paul Selman and Cathy Hall, and Mary Ann Yellow Horse, in a Cherokee Indian outfit. Similar dance festivals will be held throughout the Church, including a Salt Lake area dance festival during June Conference, June 22–23.
