Inside front cover: Truth Shall Spring out of the Earth was painted as a mural in the old Eleventh Ward chapel, University Stake (Salt Lake City), in 1914, by Lewis A. Ramsey. It depicts the angel Moroni delivering the plates of the Book of Mormon to Joseph Smith on September 22, 1827. An outstanding Utah artist, Brother Ramsey died on May 11, 1941, in Los Angeles.

Minerva Teichert Paintings

Featured in this issue are paintings and portraits by Minerva Teichert, a Wyoming ranchwife and professional artist who made a remarkable contribution to Mormon and Western painting while raising a large family. Other paintings will be featured throughout the next two years, and a biographical article in December will feature Sister Teichert.
