A Tree to Keep

Last year when my husband suggested we get a live evergreen Christmas tree so we could plant it in our yard after the holidays, I suggested that we get a fruit tree instead. He liked the idea—so an orange tree graced our living room during the holidays, complete with gifts and festive Christmas decorations.

Our unusual Christmas tree was a wonderful conversation piece when friends and neighbors came by. And now it’s an attractive addition to our yard and will bring us delicious fruit for many years. MinNette Fife, Modesto, California
