President Benson Well after Short Hospital Stay

President Ezra Taft Benson spent two days in a Salt Lake City hospital in mid-January after he fainted in his apartment.

President Benson was lying down in his Westin Hotel Utah apartment on the afternoon of January 11 when he received a telephone call. Doctors who examined President Benson concluded that he probably stood up too quickly to go to the telephone. He became dizzy and fainted.

President Benson was rushed to LDS Hospital, where tests showed no sign of heart problems for the 86-year-old Church leader.
