Galoshes
April 1972

“Galoshes,” Friend, Apr. 1972, inside front cover

Galoshes

Galosh, galosh!

It sounds like slosh,

The way galoshes do

When they go clomping in the wet

And puddly mudholes too.

Galosh, galosh!

They splish and splosh.

Galoshes are such fun!

I like to hear them flip and flop

And flogdoodle when I run.

In fact, I like galoshes—

Their name and all their sound.

I’m glad I have galoshes

To go stosh-poshing ’round.
