Why?

I’m grateful for a lot of things,

But I forget to say

How much I like my mother’s meals,

Or what Dad does each day

To help me with my homework

Although he’s busy too,

Or praise my “sis” for doing chores

That I’m supposed to do.

Yet when it comes to telling them,

I’m tongue-tied as can be.

I wonder why it is so hard

To thank my family?
