Tips for Young Cooks

When you buy groceries at the store, look for the word ENRICHED on white bread wrappers, white flour sacks, cookie and cake mix boxes, and any product that has flour in it. The word ENRICHED tells you that the white flour used in the contents of the package or sack has three B vitamins added—thiamine, niacin, and riboflavin.

It is important to buy products that contain ENRICHED flour because we all need B vitamins for good health.

Next time you go to the store, check the labels and see how many include that important word ENRICHED.
