Have No Fear

“I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.”
—1 Nephi 3:7 [1 Ne. 3:7]

“I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”
—Psalm 34:4 [Ps. 34:4]

“Thoughts of doubt and fear never accomplish anything, and never can. They always lead to failure. Purpose, energy, power to do, and all strong thoughts, cease when doubt and fear creep in. … He who has conquered doubt and fear has conquered failure.”
—James Allen, As a Man Thinketh, pp. 40–41

“I know my Father lives and loves me too;

The Spirit whispers this to me and tells me it is true.

He sent me here to earth by faith to live his plan;

The Spirit whispers this to me and tells me that I can.”

—“I Know My Father Lives,” Sing with Me, p. B-39

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid … for the Lord thy God … will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
—Deuteronomy 31:6 [Deut. 31:6]

“Therefore, whosoever belongeth to my church need not fear, for such shall inherit the kingdom of heaven.”
—Doctrine & Covenants 10:55 [D&C 10:55]

“My light is but a little one, My light of faith and prayer;

But lo! it glows like God’s great sun, For it was lighted there.

I may not hide my little light, The Lord has told me so;

’Tis given me to keep in sight, That all may see it glow.”

—“Shine On,” Sing with Me, p. B-54

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
—2 Timothy 1:7 [2 Tim. 1:7]
