Spirit of 1776!
To make these three patriots you will need: 4 paper towel tubes, variety of colored construction paper and felt-tip markers, glue, scissors, and small stick.

Drummer Boy—On 7 1/2″ tube allow 2 1/2″ for head and the rest for body. Make arms 4 1/2″ x 3/4″. The hat brim is 3 3/4″ in diameter. Cut 2″ section of tube for drum. Make drum straps 1/4″ x 3 1/2″.
Flag Carrier—On 8 1/2″ tube allow 2 3/4″ for head and the rest for body. Arms are 4 1/2″ x 3/4″. Make flag and attach to small stick.
Flute Player—Allow 3″ for head on 8 1/2″, leaving rest for body. Arms are 5″ x 3/4″. Bandage around head is 3″ x 1/4″. Make flute 3 1/4″ x 3/16″.
