A Call for Courage

Print Share
    I listened to my teacher’s voice
    Each week in Primary,
    Yet seldom stopped to think that she
    Was talking right to me.
    Then something happened when I heard
    About Samuel on the wall;
    It touched my heart how brave he was—
    A prophet answering a call.
    The message that he came to give
    Was from the Lord Himself.
    But the evildoers stopped their ears;
    Their concern was more for pelf.
    A time will come when I will preach
    The truth of God’s holy word.
    I pray that I—like Samuel of old—
    Will have courage to be heard.
