Gift Box

To make a box to hold Christmas Candy Cookies or other small gift, you will need: lightweight poster board, tracing paper, pencil, scissors, glue, tape, and decorations such as Christmas stickers or pictures from Christmas cards or wrapping paper.

Gift Box Pattern

1. Use pencil and tracing paper to trace box pattern on page 11.

2. Cut out pattern, trace onto poster board, and cut out box along solid lines, including handle holes and slits in top flaps.

3. Decorate box in same places that are shaded in box pattern.

4. Fold along all broken lines in pattern on this page.

5. Glue side flap to inside of box (see illustration).

6. When glue is completely dry, fold tabs in order (see illustration), and tape on inside.

7. To close box at top, fit top flap slits together.
