For Little Friends

Our Hike

Every creature of God is good (1 Tim. 4:4).
1. Mommy and I took a
hike today.
We saw many things
along the way.
2. A squirrel ran up
a maple tree.
He chattered and waved
his tail at me.
3. A ladybug jumped
upon my shoe.
I jiggled my toe, and
away she flew.
4. A rabbit hid when we
came near.
He twitched his nose
and wiggled one ear.
5. We met a kitten both
white and black.
She rubbed my leg, and
I stroked her back.
6. We had lots of fun
on our walk
Though we only hiked
around our block.

Heartfelt Messages for Mom

Instructions

  1. 1.

Remove pages 30–31 from the magazine, and mount them on heavy paper.

  2. 2.

Cut out the heart wreath, the individual hearts, and the messages.

  3. 3.

Glue each message on the back of an individual heart.

Write your name, the date, and your own personal message on the last one.

  4. 4.

Carefully cut along the broken lines on the wreath. Place the hearts in the slits.

Mom, let me make your heart smile today by making your bed.

I want to say with all my heart, “I love you!”

I will give you a heart-to-heart hug, Mom.

I will sing you a song straight from my heart.

Mom, I’m going to fix you a heart-warming breakfast.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being my mom.

Here is a scripture to cheer your heart: As I have loved you, … love one another (John 13:34).
