Puppet Christmas Pageant

Your family can present its own Nativity pageant, using stick or finger puppets. As a parent or older brother or sister reads the verses of scripture, you can use the puppets to act out the story. You can even present the pageant all by yourself by simply telling the Christmas story in your own words.

Instructions

1. Mount these two pages on cardboard or heavy paper.

2. Cut out the figures, including the sun and the star.

3. Make either stick puppets or finger puppets. For stick puppets, glue a Popsicle stick or a tongue depressor to the back of each figure. Allow the glue to dry.

4. For finger puppets, cut 12 strips of paper about an inch (2.5 cm) wide, and long enough to loop once around your largest finger (not your thumb) like a ring. Glue the two ends of each strip to the back of one of the figures, forming a loop for your finger (see illustration). Allow the glue to dry.
