Scripture-Story Peekaboo Book
To make this peekaboo book, you will need: crayons or colored markers, scissors, a hole punch, a stapler, and a piece of string or yarn.

Color the pictures.

Cut out all the squares and ask an older person to punch the holes where marked.

Put each story square on top of the picture about it so that it hides the picture, then staple it at the top (see illustration).

To make the book, put all the stories together with the holes lined up, then thread the string or yarn through them and tie it in a bow.
What other scripture stories do you like? Make your own peekaboo squares of them and add them to your book.
Optional: You can make your book pages stronger if you cover page 29 with clear contact paper after you color the pictures.

Moses at the Red Sea Moses’ people were slaves. When he led them to freedom, Pharaoh chased them to bring them back. Heavenly Father made the Red Sea divide so Moses and his people could cross. When Pharaoh’s army tried to follow them, the water went back together and drowned Pharaoh’s army. Moses and his people were safe and free. |

Daniel in the Lions’ Den Daniel was a leader. Other leaders were jealous, so they made the king promise to throw into the lions’ den anyone who prayed to Heavenly Father. Daniel prayed to Him and was thrown into the lions’ den. But Heavenly Father sent an angel, who kept the lions from hurting Daniel. |

Lehi Goes to the Promised Land Most of the people in Jerusalem were wicked. When Lehi told them to repent, they threatened to kill him. Heavenly Father told Lehi to leave Jerusalem. Lehi took his family and a few other people and was guided across the ocean to the land that Heavenly Father had promised would be a good land to live in. |

David Defeats Goliath David’s brothers were in an army fighting the army of Goliath. Goliath was a giant. If any man could kill him, his army promised to stop fighting. Even though David was only a young boy, with Heavenly Father’s help, he killed Goliath, and Goliath’s army ran away. |

Esther Gives a Banquet The king didn’t know that Esther, the queen, was a Jew. Haman had tricked the king into commanding that all the Jews be killed. Esther and her people fasted and asked Heavenly Father for help; then she gave a banquet for the king and Haman. At the banquet, she told the king the truth. The king had Haman put to death, and the Jews were saved. |
