Mint Candy Wreaths

3 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar

2 tablespoons evaporated milk

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

1/4 teaspoon peppermint or wintergreen flavoring

green food coloring

tiny red cinnamon candies

  1. Mix together well the first four ingredients; place the mixture in a resealable plastic bag.

  2. Add a few drops of the green food coloring. Seal the bag, and knead the mixture. If it is not green enough, add more coloring, 2 drops at a time, kneading well each time.

  3. Take a piece of the mixture about the size of a walnut and roll it into a cylinder about 4″ (10 cm) long.

  4. Bend the cylinder into the wreath shape and press cinnamon candies around the top as holly berries. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the mixture is used up.

  5. Place all the wreaths on a paper towel and cover them with another paper towel; let set overnight.
