My Church

I go to church

To worship there.

I always treat

My church with care—

Pick up my papers,

Clear my trash,

Fold up my chair

And put it back.

Songbooks, scriptures,

Pictures too:

I’m careful with

The things I use.

For when I treat

My church with care,

I can feel the

Spirit there.
