Friend in the News

Keycha B., 6, New Jersey, likes to sing Primary songs at home, at church, and wherever she goes. During her district’s 2009 International Night she sang “I Love to See the Temple” in front of 200 people. She loves going to church and feeling the Holy Spirit.

Jared B., 8, Virginia, has an older brother and a younger sister. He enjoys playing with his friends, reading, swimming, and running. Jared has learned that Heavenly Father hears and answers his prayers. He is also learning to fast and pray with a purpose.

Kjirsten M., 6, South Africa, has lived in Russia, Kuwait, China, and Armenia. She has learned that “you can make friends wherever you go.” She enjoys Primary, “even if missionaries have to help you with the language.” She says that music is a universal language and that she always joins in singing Church songs.

Fort Lewis Ward

Many of the children in the CTR 6B class in the Fort Lewis Ward, Lakewood Washington Stake, have fathers serving in the military. The children have been very brave as they have waited for their fathers to return home. The class enjoys being good examples, and playing outside, rain or shine.

Jake H., 8, Arizona, likes to ride his bike and play video games. He is a great example to his three younger brothers, and he tries to choose the right.

Brooke H., 8, California, was thrilled to be baptized and set a good example for her younger siblings. She enjoys reading, gymnastics, soccer, singing, and playing the piano.

Rebecca H., 10, Utah, enjoys drawing, swimming, and playing soccer. She likes ducks, manatees, and many other kinds of animals. Rebecca has two sisters and two brothers.

Hyde Park First Ward

The children in the Hyde Park First Ward, Hyde Park Utah Stake, heard stories of the history of the Logan Utah Temple and then visited the temple grounds. They followed the counsel of their stake presidency to visit the temple.
