Craft: Color Swirls

God created many beautiful colors for us to enjoy. Here’s a fun science project you can try at home to watch colors burst and swirl in water. Be sure to get an adult’s help.

You will need:

2 tablespoons of oil

3 drops each of red, blue, and yellow food coloring

a measuring cup with a spout

a spoon

a clear quart-sized jar or vase of water

Stir the oil and drops of food coloring in the measuring cup. (Don’t add more food coloring or it will just turn brown.)
Pour the oil and color into your jar of water. Watch what happens!
