Blow up a balloon and try to keep it from touching the ground. But here’s the catch: you can only use your feet! Sit on the ground, lean back on your hands, and use your feet to keep the balloon off the floor. How long can you keep the balloon up?

These are gourds, which are popular in Turkmenistan, where Story lived (see page 14). Melons are one kind of gourd. In Turkmenistan, “Melon Day” is a national holiday! More than 500 types of melons grow there.
