David O. McKay grew up on his family’s farm in Huntsville, Utah. He loved animals and kept horses throughout his life. When he served a mission in Great Britain, he discovered a saying that became his motto: “What-e’er thou art, act well thy part.” He returned to Great Britain many times and dedicated the London England Temple in 1958.
