ʻO e Kau Fitungofulú

Ko e lotú ko e taha ia ʻo e ngaahi meʻaʻofa mahuʻinga taha ʻa e ʻOtuá ki he tangatá.

ʻOkú Ne moʻui; ʻokú Ne ʻafioʻi fakatāutaha kitautolu; pea ʻokú Ne ʻofa ʻiate kitautolu kotoa pē. ʻOkú Ne finangalo ke tāpuakiʻi kitautolu.

“Ko ia kapau ʻoku mou ʻilo, ka ko e angakoví, ke foaki ʻa e ngaahi meʻa leleí ki hoʻomou fānaú, ʻe fēfē hono lahi hake ʻo e fie foaki ʻa e ngaahi leleí ʻe hoʻomou Tamai ʻoku ʻi he langí kiate kinautolu ʻoku kole kiate iá?” (Mātiu 7:9–11).

Mahalo ʻe tokoni ha aʻusia fakatāutaha ke fakamahinoʻi ʻa e fakakaukaú. ʻI heʻeku hoko ko e toketā akoako kei talavou ʻi he Falemahaki Maʻá e Fānaú ʻi Positoní, ne u ngāue ha ngaahi houa lahi pea lahi taha ʻeku ʻalu pasikala mei he falemahakí mo homau ʻapí ʻi Uotatauni, Masasūsetí, he naʻe fie maʻu ʻe hoku uaifí mo e fāmili kei siʻí ʻemau kaá. ʻI he efiafi ʻe taha ne u heka pasikala atu ki ʻapi hili haʻaku ngāue ʻi ha taimi lōloa ʻi he falemahakí, ne u fuʻu ongoʻi helaʻia mo fiekaia pea hangē ne u kiʻi ongoʻi loto foʻí. Ne u ʻilo ne fie maʻu ke u ʻoange ki hoku uaifí mo e fānau kei iiki ʻe toko faá, ʻa hoku taimí mo hoku iví ʻi he taimi te u aʻu ai ki ʻapí pea mo ha ʻulungāanga fiefia foki. Ko hono moʻoní, ne faingataʻa foki mo hono ʻaka e pasikalá ia.

Ne u fou atu ʻi ha kiʻi falekoloa fakatauʻanga moa fakapaku, pea ne u ongoʻi kapau te u kiʻi tuʻu ʻo kai ha meʻi moa ʻi hoku hala ki ʻapí ʻe siʻisiʻi ange ai ʻeku ongoʻi fiekaia mo helaʻiá. Ne u ʻilo ne nau fakamaʻamaʻa ʻa e alangaʻi moá pe ko e vaʻeʻi moá ʻo sēniti ʻe 29 ki he taha, ka ʻi heʻeku vakaiʻi ʻeku uāletí, ko e kiʻi sēniti pē ʻe nima naʻe faʻo aí. ʻI heʻeku ʻaka atú, ne u fakahā ki he ʻEikí e tuʻunga ne u ʻi aí mo kole ke Ne ʻaloʻofa mai ha kiʻi sēniti ʻe 25 ke u maʻu ia ʻi he veʻehalá. Ne u fakahā kiate Ia naʻe ʻikai ke u fie maʻu ʻeni ko ha fakaʻilonga ka te u houngaʻia moʻoni kapau te Ne foaki mai ʻa e tāpuaki angaʻofá ni.

Ne kamata ke u siofi fakalelei ʻa e kelekelé ka ne ʻikai pē ke u sio ki ha meʻa. Ne u feinga ke kei maʻu ʻeku tuí pea mo anga vaivai pē heʻeku ʻaka pasikalá, pea ne u fakaofi atu ki he falekoloá. Ne u sio atu ki ha sēniti ʻe 25 ʻi he kelekelé he kauhala ʻe tahá meimei fehangahangai mo e falekai fakatauʻanga moá. Ne u toʻo hake ia, ʻi he loto houngaʻia mo e fiemālie, ʻo fakatau mai e meʻi moá, kai kotoa ia, peá u heka fiefia atu ki ʻapi.

Kuo ongona ha lotu fekauʻaki mo ha kiʻi meʻa siʻisiʻi tuʻunga ʻi he ʻaloʻofa ʻa e ʻOtua ʻo e langí, ko e Tupuʻanga mo e Pule Aoniu ʻo e meʻa kotoa pē. ʻE ala fehuʻia ʻe ha taha pe ko e hā naʻá Ne tokanga ai ki ha meʻa siʻisiʻi pehē. ʻOku tataki ai au ke u tui ʻoku ʻofa lahi ʻetau Tamai Hēvaní ʻiate kitautolu pea ko e meʻa ʻoku mahuʻinga kiate kitautolú ʻoku mahuʻinga ia kiate Ia, he ʻokú Ne ʻofa ʻiate kitautolu. ʻE fēfē hono lahi ʻEne fie tokoni kiate kitautolu ʻi he ngaahi meʻa lalahi ʻoku tau kole, ka ʻoku totonú (vakai, 3 Nīfai 18:20)?

Fānau iiki, toʻu tupu mo e kakai lalahí, mou kātaki ʻoku fie tāpuakiʻi kimoutolu ʻe hoʻomou Tamai Hēvaní. Ka he ʻikai ke Ne kaunoa ʻi heʻetau tauʻatāina ke filí, ko ia kuo pau ke tau kole ʻEne tokoní. ʻOku angamaheni ʻaki hono fakahoko ʻeni ʻi he lotú. Ko e lotú ko e taha ia ʻo e ngaahi meʻaʻofa mahuʻinga taha ʻa e ʻOtuá ki he tangatá.

Naʻe kole ʻe he kau ākonga ʻa Sīsuú, “ʻEiki, akonakiʻi ʻa kimautolu ke lotu” (Luke 11:1). Ne tali ki ai ‘a Sīsū, ʻo Ne ʻomi ha sīpinga ke hoko ia ko ha fakahinohino ki he ngaahi tefitoʻi moʻoni mahuʻinga ʻo e lotú (vakai, Russell M. Nelson, “Ngaahi Lēsoni mei he Ngaahi Lotu ʻa e ʻEikí,” Liahona, mo e Ensign, Mē 2009, 46–49; vakai foki, Mātiu 6:9–13; Luke 11:1–4). Fakatatau ki he sīpinga ʻa Sīsuú:

ʻOku tau kamata ʻaki ʻetau fakataufolofola ki heʻetau Tamai Hēvaní: “Ko ʻemau Tamai ʻoku ʻi he langi” (Mātiu 6:9; Luke 11:2). Ko hotau faingamālie ia ke fakataufolofola hangatonu ki heʻetau Tamaí. ʻOku ʻikai ke tau lotu ki ha toe taha kehe. Manatuʻi kuo tau ʻosi maʻu ha faleʻi ke fakaʻehiʻehi mei he toutou lea ʻaki e lea tatau peé, kau ai hono toutou lea ʻaki e huafa ʻo e Tamaí ʻi heʻetau lotú.1

“Ke tāpuhā ho huafá” (Mātiu 6:9; Luke 11:2). Naʻe fakataufolofola ʻa Sīsū ki Heʻene Tamaí ʻi he laumālie ʻo e lotu, ʻo fakahaaʻi Hono māfimafí mo fai kiate Ia ʻa e fakafetaʻi mo e fakamālō. Ko e moʻoni ko e founga ko ʻeni ʻo e ʻapasia ki he ʻOtuá mo e ongoʻi loto fakafetaʻi fakamātoato moʻoní ko e taha ia e ngaahi konga mahuʻinga ki he lotu leleí.

“Ke hoko mai hoʻo pulé. Ke fai ho finangaló” (Mātiu 6:10; Luke 11:2). ʻOku tau fakahā tauʻatāina ʻetau fakafalala ki he ʻEikí mo fakahā ʻetau holi ke fai Hono finangaló, neongo kapau ʻoku ʻikai tatau ia mo hotau lotó. ʻOku fakamatalaʻi ʻe heʻetau Bible Dictionary: “Ko e lotú ko e ngāue ia ʻokú ne fakafehokotaki ʻa e finangalo ʻo e Tamaí mo e loto ʻo e tamasiʻí. ʻOku ʻikai ko e taumuʻa ʻo e lotú ke liliu ai ʻa e finangalo ʻo e ʻOtuá, ka ke maluʻi maʻatautolu mo e niʻihi kehé ʻa e ngaahi tāpuaki ʻokú Ne finangalo ke foaki maí, ka ʻe makatuʻunga ia ʻi heʻetau kole kinautolú” (Bible Dictionary, “Prayer”).

“Ke foaki mai he ʻahó ni haʻamau meʻakai” (Mātiu 6:11; vakai foki, Luke 11:3). ʻOku tau kole e ngaahi meʻa ʻoku tau fie maʻú mei he ʻEikí. ʻOku mahuʻinga ʻa e faitotonú ʻi hono kolea ha ngaahi meʻa mei he ʻOtuá. Hangē ko ʻení, he ʻikai fuʻu faitotonu kakato ke u kole tokoni mei he ʻEikí ki ha sivi ʻi he akó kapau naʻe ʻikai ke u tokanga ʻi he kalasí, fai e ngāue fakaako mei ʻapí, pe ako ki he siví. ʻOku ueʻi maʻu pē au ʻe he Laumālié ʻi heʻeku faʻa lotú ke u fakahā ʻoku ʻi ai e meʻa lahi ʻoku totonu ke u fai ke maʻu ai ʻa e tokoni ʻoku ou kolea mei he ʻEikí. Pea kuo pau ke u tukupā mo fai hoku fatongiá. ʻOku fepaki ia mo e palani ʻa e langí ke fai ʻe he ʻEikí maʻatautolu ʻa e meʻa te tau lava ʻo fai pē maʻatautolú.

“Pea fakamolemole ʻemau angahala” (Mātiu 6:12), pe ʻi hono liliu ʻe tahá, “Peá ke fakamolemole kiate kimautolu ʻemau angahalá” (Luke 11:4). Ko e fakatomalá ko ha konga mahuʻinga ia ʻoku faʻa ngalo ʻi he lotu fakatāutahá. Ke lava ʻo ngāue ʻa e fakatomalá, kuo pau ke fakaʻauliliki, fakamātoato, mo tuʻuloa ia.

“ʻO hangē ko ʻemau fakamolemole ʻa kinautolu kuo faiangahala kiate kimautolú” (Mātiu 6:12; vakai foki, Luke 11:4). Naʻe fakamahinoʻi ʻe he Fakamoʻuí ʻa e fekauʻaki e fakamolemoleʻi ʻetau ngaahi angahalá mo hono fakamolemoleʻi ʻo e niʻihi kehe kuo faihala mai kiate kitautolú. Taimi ʻe niʻihi ʻoku fuʻu fakamamahi pea faingataʻa ke fakamolemoleʻi pe fakangaloʻi ʻa e faihala mai ʻa e niʻihi kehé kiate kitautolú. ʻOku ou houngaʻia ʻi he fakafiemālie mo e faifakamoʻui kuó u maʻu ʻi he fakaafe ʻa e ʻEikí ke siʻaki hotau ngaahi mamahí pea ʻohake kiate Ia. ʻI he Tokāteline mo e Ngaahi Fuakavá, vahe 64, naʻá Ne folofola:

“Ko au, ko e ʻEikí, te u fakamolemoleʻi ʻa ia ʻoku ou loto ke fakamolemoleʻí, ka ʻoku ʻekeʻi meiate kimoutolu ʻa hoʻomou fakamolemoleʻi ʻa e kakai kotoa pē.

“Pea ʻoku totonu ke mou pehē ʻi homou lotó— tuku ke fakamaau ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻi hoku vahaʻa mo koé, pea totongi kiate koe ʻo fakatatau ki hoʻo ngaahi ngāué” (veesi 10–11).

Pea kuo pau ke tau siʻaki fakaʻaufuli ʻa e meʻa ko iá, tuku ki he ʻEikí ke Ne fai ia, kapau ʻoku tau holi ke fakamoʻui kitautolu.

“Pea ʻoua naʻa tuku ʻa kimautolu ki he ʻahiʻahi, kae fakamoʻui ʻa kimautolu mei he kovi” (Mātiu 6:13, futinouti a; mei he Liliu ʻa Siosefa Sāmitá; vakai foki, Luke 11:4, futinouti f; mei he Liliu ʻa Siosefa Sāmitá). Ko ia, ʻi heʻetau ngaahi lotú te tau ala kamata ʻa e founga maluʻí ʻaki hono ʻai ʻa e teunga tau kakato ʻo e ʻOtuá (vakai, ʻEfesō 6:11; T&F 27:15) ʻaki ʻetau hanga atu kimuʻa mo kolea ha tokoni ki he ngaahi meʻa fakamanavahē te tau ala fehangahangai mo iá. ʻE hoku ngaahi kaungāmeʻa, kātaki ʻoua naʻa ngalo ke kole ki he ʻEikí ke Ne maluʻi mo Ne feʻao mo koe.

“He ʻoku ʻoʻou ʻa e pule, mo e mālohi, mo e nāunau, ʻo taʻengata” (Mātiu 6:13). Ko ha fakahinohino ʻaonga ia hono fakaʻosi ʻe Sīsū ʻa e lotú ni ʻaki hono toe fakalāngilangiʻi e ʻOtuá mo fakahā ʻEne fakaʻapaʻapá mo e fakavaivai ki he Tamaí. ʻI heʻetau tui moʻoni ʻoku pule ʻa e ʻOtuá ki Hono puleʻangá pea ʻokú Ne maʻu kotoa ʻa e mālohí mo e nāunaú, ʻoku tau ʻilo ai ʻokú Ne pule moʻoni, pea ʻokú Ne ʻofeina kitautolu ʻaki ha ʻofa haohaoa, pea ʻokú Ne finangalo ke tau fiefia. Kuó u ʻilo ko e taha ʻo e ngaahi fakapulipuli ki ha moʻui fiefiá ko hono ʻiloʻi te u fiefia ange ʻi hono fai ha ngaahi meʻa ʻi he founga ʻa e ʻEikí, kae ʻikai ke fai ia ʻi heʻeku foungá.

ʻOku ʻi ai hono fakatuʻutāmaki ʻo e ongoʻi ʻe ha tokotaha ʻoku ʻikai ke ne moʻui taau ke lotú. ʻOku haʻu e fakakaukau ko ʻení mei he laumālie kovi ʻokú ne akoʻi kitautolu ke ʻoua te tau lotú (vakai, 2 Nīfai 32:8). ʻOku fakamamahi ke tau fakakaukau ʻoku tau fuʻu angahalaʻia ke lotu ʻo hangē ko ha fuʻu puke lahi ʻa ha taha ke ne tui heʻikai ke ʻalu ia ki he toketaá!

ʻOku totonu ke ʻoua naʻa tau fakakaukau ʻe ola lelei ha faʻahinga lotu ʻoku tau fai, neongo ʻene fakamātoató, kapau ko e meʻa pē ʻoku tau faí ko hono lea ʻaki ʻo e lotú. ʻOku totonu ke ʻoua naʻa ngata pē ʻi heʻetau lea ʻaki ʻetau lotú, ka kuo pau ke tau moʻuiʻaki ia. ʻOku fiefia ange ʻa e ʻEikí ʻi he tokotaha ʻoku lotu pea ngāué ʻi he tokotaha ʻoku lotu ʻataʻatā peé. Hangē tofu pē ko e faitoʻó, ʻoku toki ngāue ʻa e lotú ʻi heʻetau fakaʻaongaʻi ia ʻo hangē ko e fakahinohino ʻoku ʻomaí.

ʻI heʻeku pehē ko ia ko e lotú ko ha faingamālie fakaʻofoʻofá, ʻoku ʻikai koeʻuhí pē ko ʻeku houngaʻia he lava ke u fakataufolofola ki he Tamai Hēvaní mo ongoʻi Hono Laumālié ʻi heʻeku lotú. Ka koeʻuhí foki he ʻokú Ne tali mo folofola mai kiate kitautolu. Ko e moʻoni, ʻoku ʻikai ke Ne folofola mai kiate kitautolu ʻaki ha leʻo ke tau ongoʻi. Naʻe fakamatala ʻa Palesiteni Poiti K. Peeka ʻo pehē: “ʻOku hoko mai e kihiʻi leʻo mālie ʻo e tataki fakalaumālié ʻo hangē ha ongo ki he lotó kae ʻikai ki he fanongó. ʻE lava ke fakahoko ʻa e poto haohaoá ki he ʻatamaí. … ʻOku hoko mai ʻa e fakahinohino ko ʻení ko ha ngaahi fakakaukau, ko ha ngaahi ongo ʻo fakafou, ʻi he ngaahi ueʻi mo e tataki” (“Lotú mo e Ngaahi Ueʻí,” Liahona, Nōv. 2009, 44).

Taimi ʻe niʻihi hangē ʻoku ʻikai ke tau maʻu ha tali ki heʻetau ngaahi lotu fakamātoato mo fakapapaú. ʻOku fie maʻu ʻa e tuí ke tau manatuʻi ʻoku tali mai ʻe he ʻEikí ʻi Hono taimi mo ʻEne founga pē ʻAʻana ke Ne faitāpuekina ai kitautolu ʻi he founga lelei tahá. Pe, ko haʻatau toe fakakaukau lahi ange ki aí, te tau toki fakatokangaʻi hake kuo tau ʻosi ʻiloʻi lelei pē ʻa e meʻa ʻoku totonu ke tau faí.

Kātaki ʻoua ʻe loto-foʻi kapau ʻoku ʻikai hoko leva ʻeni kiate koe. Hangē tofu pē ko hano ako ha lea mulí, ʻoku fie maʻu ke toutou ako mo feinga. Kātaki ʻo ʻiloʻi, kapau, te ke lava ʻo ako e lea ʻo e Laumālié, pea ʻi hoʻo fai iá, te ne ʻoatu kiate koe ha tui mo ha mālohi lahi ʻi he anga māʻoniʻoní.

ʻOku ou makakoloa ʻaki ʻa e akonaki hotau palōfita ʻofeiná ko Palesiteni Tōmasi S. Monisoni, ʻa ia naʻá ne pehē: “Kiate kimoutolu ʻoku fanongo mai ki hoku leʻó kapau ʻoku mou fefaʻuhi mo e ngaahi ʻahiʻahí mo e faingataʻá, ʻo tatau pē pe ʻoku lahi pe siʻisiʻi, ko e lotú ko e maʻuʻanga ivi fakalaumālié ia; ko e paasipooti ia ki he nongá. Ko e lotú ʻa e founga ʻoku tau lava ʻo hū ai ki heʻetau Tamai Hēvani ʻofá. Fakataufolofola kiate Ia ʻi he lotu peá ke fakafanongo leva ki he talí. ʻOku hoko mai ʻa e ngaahi meʻa maná ʻo fakafou ʻi he lotú” (“Fai Ho Lelei Tahá,” Liahona, Mē 2009, 68).

ʻOku ou houngaʻia moʻoni ʻi he faingamālie ke hū ki heʻetau Tamai Hēvani māʻoniʻoní ʻi he lotú. ʻOku ou fakamālō ko e ngaahi taimi lahi kuó Ne fanongo mo tali mai ai ʻeku lotú. ʻOku ou ʻilo ʻokú Ne moʻui koeʻuhí ko ʻEne tali maí pea taimi ʻe niʻihi ʻi ha founga fakakikite mo fakaofo. ʻOku ou fakamoʻoni foki ʻi he loto fakatōkilalo ko Sīsū, ʻa Hono ʻAlo māʻoniʻoní, ko hotau Fakamoʻuí Ia. Ko Hono Siasí mo Hono puleʻangá ʻeni ʻi he māmaní; ʻoku moʻoni ʻa e ngāué ni. Ko Tōmasi S. Monisoni, ʻa ʻEne palōfita ʻoku tau lotua fakamātoató. Ko ʻetau fakamoʻoní ʻeni ʻi he ʻiloʻilo pau ʻi he huafa ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí, ʻēmeni.
