Siʻoku kāinga ʻofeina, ʻoku ou houngaʻia ke lea atu kiate kimoutolu he hoʻatá ni ʻi he konifelenisi lahi fakalaumālié ni!

Pea ke u lea atu ʻi ha taumuʻa ʻoku ou pehē ʻoku toputapu taha, ʻoku ou tomuʻa fie fakahā ʻeku houngaʻia ki he kau Kalisitiane tokolahi talu mei he kuohilí, kau ai ʻeku ngaahi kui ʻi he siasi faka-Palotisani ʻi Falaniseé mo e Katolika ʻi ʻAilaní. Tupu mei heʻenau tui mo lotu ki he ʻOtuá, ne feilaulauʻi ʻe hanau tokolahi honau tuʻungá, koloá pehē ki heʻenau moʻuí ke mateakiʻi honau ʻOtuá mo ʻenau tuí.1

ʻI heʻetau hoko ko e Kāingalotu mo ha kau Kalisitiané, ʻoku tau maʻu ha tui mālohi mo loloto ki he ʻOtua ko e Tamai Taʻengatá mo Hono ʻAlo ko Sīsū Kalaisí. ʻOku kei hoko maʻu pē ʻa e līʻoa ki he ʻOtuá ko ha meʻa toputapu mo fakatāutaha ʻi he vahaʻa ʻo kitautolu mo hotau Tupuʻangá.

Ko ʻetau fekumi ki he moʻui taʻengatá ko ʻetau fekumi ia ke mahino kiate kitautolu ʻa e ʻOtuá pea foki ʻo nofo mo Ia. Ne lotu ʻa e Fakamoʻuí ki Heʻene Tamaí, “Pea ko ʻeni ʻa e moʻui taʻengatá, ko ʻenau ʻilo koe ko e ʻOtua moʻoni pē taha, mo Sīsū Kalaisi, ʻa ia naʻá ke fekaú.”2

Pea neongo hono fakahaaʻi tonu ʻeni ʻe he Fakamoʻuí, ka ko e vakai angamaheni ko ia ki he natula ʻo e Tamaí mo e ʻAló ʻi ha laui senitulí kae pehē ki ha konga lahi ʻo e faʻahinga ʻo e tangatá, ʻoku ʻikai pē ke fenāpasi ia mo e ngaahi akonaki ʻa e folofola māʻoniʻoní.

Ko e mahuʻinga ʻo e tefitoʻi moʻoni mātuʻaki mahuʻinga ko ʻeni ʻo e ongoongolelei ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí naʻe fakapapauʻi mai ia ʻe he ʻUluaki Mata-meʻa-hā-mai ʻa e Palōfita ko Siosefa Sāmitá ʻi he 1820. Ne tohi ʻe he Palōfitá ʻo pehē: “Naʻá ku sio ki he Tangata ʻe toko ua, ʻa ia ko hona ngingilá mo e nāunaú ʻoku ʻikai faʻa lava ke mafakamatalaʻi, ʻokú na tuʻu mai ʻi ʻolunga ʻiate au ʻi he ʻataá. Naʻe folofola mai ʻa e toko taha kiate au, ʻo ne ui au ʻaki hoku hingoá, ʻo ne tuhu ki he tokotahá ʻo pehē—Ko hoku ʻAlo ʻOfaʻangá ʻeni. Fanongo kiate Ia!4

ʻOku fakahaaʻi mai ʻe he aʻusia ʻa e tamasiʻi ko Siosefá pea mo ha ngaahi vīsone mo e fakahā kimui ai ʻoku ʻi ai moʻoni ʻa e ʻOtua; ko e Tamaí mo Hono ʻAlo ko Sīsū Kalaisí ʻokú na sino māvahevahe mo kehekehe; ʻoku ngaohi ʻa e tangatá ʻi he ʻīmisi ʻo e ʻOtuá; ko ʻetau Tamai Hēvaní ʻa e Tamai moʻoni ʻa Sīsū Kalaisí; ʻoku hokohoko atu hono fakahaaʻi ʻe he ʻOtuá Ia ki he tangatá; ʻoku ofi mo tokanga mai ʻa e ʻOtuá kiate kitautolu; pea ʻokú Ne tali ʻetau lotú.

Neongo ʻoku tātātaha ke ʻasi ʻi he folofola māʻoniʻoní e hā ʻa e Tamaí mo e ʻAló, ka ʻoku fenāpasi lelei pē e moʻoni ia ʻo e ʻUluaki Mata-meʻa-hā-maí pea mo e ngaahi meʻa kehe ne lekooti ʻi he tohi folofola māʻoniʻoní.

Hangē ko ʻení ʻi he Fuakava Foʻoú, ʻoku tau lau ai ki he fakamoʻoni fakaʻosi ʻa Sitīveni ʻi hono fakapōngí. Naʻá ne pehē, “Vakai, ʻoku ou mamata ki he langí kuo matangaki, mo e Foha ʻo e tangatá ʻoku tuʻu ʻi he nima toʻomataʻu ʻo e ʻOtuá.”5

Lolotonga e mata-meʻa-hā-mai ʻa e ʻAposetolo ko Sioné ʻi he Motu ko Pātimosí, naʻá ne mamata ki he “ʻEiki ko e ʻOtua Mafimafí”6 pehē ki he Lami ʻa e ʻOtuá, ʻa ia kuó Ne “huhuʻi ʻa e kakaí … ʻaki [Hono] taʻataʻá.”7

ʻI he Tohi ʻa Molomoná, ʻoku fakamoʻoniʻi fakaʻeiʻeiki ai e tokāteline ʻo e Tamaí mo e ʻAló kae pehē ki he Tohi Tapú. ʻOku lekooti ʻi he Tohi ʻa Molomoná e ʻaʻahi ʻa e Fakamoʻuí ki he kau Nīfaí ʻa ia ne lea ai e Tamaí ʻo fakafeʻiloaki ʻa e Kalaisi kuo toetuʻú ʻi he haʻohaʻonga ʻo ha kau Nīfai ʻe toko 2,500: “Vakai ki hoku ʻAlo ʻOfaʻangá, ʻa ia ʻoku ou fiemālie lahi aí, ʻa ia kuó u fakaongoongoleleiʻi ai ʻa hoku hingoá—fanongo kiate ia.”8

ʻI he Kosipeli ʻe faá, ne fakahaaʻi tuʻo 160 ai ʻe Kalaisi ʻEne Tamai ʻi Hēvaní, pea ʻi he lolotonga ʻo ʻene ʻaʻahi ʻaho tolu ki he kau Nīfaí, naʻá Ne folofola tuʻo 122 ai ʻo kau ki Heʻene Tamaí, ʻo hangē ko ia ʻoku hiki ʻi he Tohi ʻa Molomoná,

Hangē ko ʻení, ʻi he tohi ʻa Mātiú ne folofola ʻa Sīsū, “ʻE ʻikai hū ki he puleʻanga ʻo e langí ʻa kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku pehē mai kiate au, ʻEiki, ʻEiki, ka ko ia ʻokú ne fai ʻa e finangalo ʻo ʻeku Tamai ʻoku ʻi he langí.”9

Naʻá Ne fakamoʻoni ʻi he tohi ʻa Sioné, “ʻOku ʻikai faʻa fai ʻe he ʻAló ha meʻa ʻe ia pē, ka ko ia ʻokú ne mamata ʻoku fai ʻe he Tamaí.”10

Pea naʻá Ne pehē he tohi ʻa Luké, “ʻE Tamai, ʻoku ou tuku hoku laumālié ki ho nimá.”11

Ko e taimi kotoa pē ʻoku folofola ai hotau ʻEikí ʻo kau ki Heʻene Tamai Hēvaní, ʻokú Ne fai ia ʻi he loto-ʻapasia mo e angamalū moʻoni.

ʻI heʻeku leaʻaki ʻení, ʻoku ou fakaʻamu pē he ʻikai ha maʻuhala. Ko Sīsū Kalaisi ʻa e Sihova Maʻongoʻongá, ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsilelí, Mīsaia ne talaʻofa maí, pea tuʻunga ʻi Heʻene Fakalelei Taʻefakangatangatá, ko Ia hotau Fakamoʻui mo e Huhuʻi ʻo e māmaní. Naʻe lea e ʻAposetolo ko Paulá ʻo kau kiate Ia ʻo ne pehē, “Pea ʻe toki hoko ʻa e ikuʻangá, ʻa ia te ne ʻatu ai ʻa e puleʻangá ki he ʻOtuá, ʻio, ko e Tamaí, hili ʻene ikuna [ʻe Kalaisi] ʻa e pule kotoa pē mo e fekau kotoa pē mo e mālohi.”12

ʻI he pō kimuʻa he Fakalelei ʻa e Fakamoʻuí, naʻá Ne fai ai ʻEne Lotu Hufekiná ki Heʻene Tamaí. Naʻá Ne lotu ʻo pehē:

“Pea ʻoku ʻikai ko ʻeku lotuá [ʻEne Kau ʻAposetoló pē], ka ko kinautolu foki ʻe tui kiate au ʻi heʻenau leá;

“Koeʻuhí ke taha pē ʻa kinautolu kotoa pē; ʻo hangē ʻokú ke ʻiate aú, ʻe Tamai, mo au ʻiate koé, koeʻuhí ke nau taha pē foki ʻiate kitaua: koeʻuhí ke tui ʻa mamani naʻá ke fekau au.

“Pea ko e nāunau naʻá ke tuku kiate aú, kuó u tuku kiate kinautolu; koeʻuhí ke taha pē ʻa kinautolu, ʻo hangē foki ʻokú ta taha peé.”13

ʻOku sino māvahevahe ʻa e Tamaí mo e ʻAló, ka ʻokú Na taha moʻoni ʻi he mālohi mo e taumuʻa. ʻOku ʻikai fakataumuʻa ʻEna tahá kiate Kinaua pē; ka ʻokú Na finangalo ke taha pehē ʻa kinautolu kotoa pē ʻe muimui faivelenga mo talangofua ki Heʻena ngaahi fekaú.

ʻE lava fēfē ʻa e kau fekumi fakamātoato ki he ʻOtuá ke feohi mo e Tamaí mo e ʻAló? Kuo talaʻofa mai ʻa e Fakamoʻuí, “Ka ko e Fakafiemālié ko e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní, … te ne akoʻi ʻa kimoutolu ʻi he meʻa kotoa pē.”14

ʻI he Tohi ʻa Molomoná ne pehē ʻe Nīfai ʻi heʻene lea kau ki he tokāteline ʻo Kalaisí, ʻoku hanga ʻe he Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní ʻo “fakamoʻoniʻi ʻa e Tamaí mo e ʻAló.”15

Ko e moʻoni ʻe lava ke ongoʻi e mālohi pe ivi takiekina ʻo e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní ʻe ha faʻahinga taha pē, neongo pe ko e hā ʻene tui fakalotú, ʻo fakatatau ki he finangalo ʻo e ʻEikí. Ka ʻoku toki maʻu kakato ia pe ko e meʻafoaki ʻo e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní, hili hano maʻu ʻe ha taha ʻi he “loto-mafesifesi mo e laumālie fakatomala,”16 ʻa e ouau ʻo e papitaisó mo e meʻafoaki ʻo e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní17 ʻi he hilifaki ʻo e nimá. ʻE malava ke toki fakahoko pē e ngaahi ouau ko ʻení mo ha ngaahi ouau kehe, ʻo fakatatau mo e tataki pea mo e mālohi ʻo e lakanga fakataulaʻeiki ʻo e ʻOtuá. Hangē ko ia kuo akoʻi kiate kitautolú:

“Pea ko e lakanga fakataulaʻeiki lahi ange ko ʻení ʻoku puleʻi ʻe ia ʻa e ongoongoleleí pea ʻokú ne maʻu ʻa e kī ʻo e ngaahi meʻa liliu ʻo e puleʻangá, ʻio ʻa e kī ʻo e ʻiloʻi ʻo e ʻOtuá.

“Ko ia, ʻoku fakahā ʻi hono ngaahi ouaú ʻa e mālohi ʻo e anga faka-ʻOtuá.”18

ʻI he mahino ko ʻení, ko e tokāteline ʻo e Tamaí mo e ʻAló ʻa e tokāteline ʻo e fāmili taʻengatá. Ne moʻui kimuʻa e faʻahinga kotoa pē ʻo e tangatá ko ha fānau fakalaumālie mo ha mātuʻa fakalangi,19 fakataha mo Kalaisi ʻa ia ko e ʻUluaki ʻAlo ʻo e Tamaí ʻi he famili fakalangi ko ʻení.20

ʻOku pehē pē foki kiate kitautolu kotoa. Ko ha fānau kitautolu ʻa e Tamai Hēvaní.

Ne pehē ʻa Palesiteni ʻEselā Tafu Penisoni ʻi haʻane fakakaukau fakapalōfita, “ʻOku ʻikai ha meʻa te ne fakaʻohovaleʻi lahi ange kitautolu ʻi heʻetau fou atu ʻi he veilí ki he tafaʻaki ʻe tahá ka ko hono fakatokangaʻi e lelei ʻo ʻetau ʻiloʻi ʻetau Tamaí [ʻi Hēvaní] pea mo ʻetau maheni mo Hono fofongá.”21

Kuó u ʻilo ʻoku faingataʻa ke fakahoko atu he lea ʻoku maheni ki ai e tangatá, ʻa e ngaahi meʻa ko e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní pē mo e mālohi ʻo e ʻOtuá ʻokú ne fakaʻilo maí. Ko e laumālie ʻeni ʻoku fakahoko atu ai ʻeku fakamoʻoni ki hono moʻoni, takaofi pea mo e angalelei ʻa ʻetau Tamai Taʻengatá mo Hono ʻAlo māʻoniʻoni ko Sīsū Kalaisí. ʻI he huafa ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí, ʻēmeni.
