2024 is going to be a great year!

The latest weekly message from Church leaders to you.

Things to look forward to in 2024.

SAVE THE DATE for January 28, 2024. We are having a worldwide discussion on discipleship. There will be a broadcast to start your evening off and three questions within the broadcast for you to discuss with your group. Gather at a home, a backyard campfire, at the beach, or in your church. You decide! We can’t wait to hear what you learn about discipleship!

Next, we are studying the Book of Mormon this year. One of my favorite traditions for the Book of Mormon year came from my kids, who returned home from their missions carrying a paperback copy of the Book of Mormon in their hands. They had carried it for so long that it actually fit perfectly in their grasp. So that’s what I do on the Book of Mormon year. I carry a Book of Mormon around everywhere I go. Put one in your backpack. Take it in the car. Keep it next to your bed, and remember to bring it to breakfast. Then, instead of scrolling through social media, sometimes you can open the pages of the Book of Mormon and read. I set a goal to finish the Book of Mormon by the end of the year. Who wants to join me? I hope you find me with a Book of Mormon in hand when you see me. I will watch for you to have one too!

Woman Reading the Book of Mormon

Last, maybe you want to memorize the youth theme for the year: 3 Nephi 5:13. I’m working on that right now. I put it up by my mirror where I can see it every day and repeat it to myself at least once. AND if you haven’t added this year’s song to your playlist, you might want to! It’s a good one.

One thing I’ve learned is that it’s a lot more fun to do things together. So these are four things you can look forward to doing with us as a young woman this year.

Participate in the worldwide discussion on discipleship!
Read the Book of Mormon!
Memorize the youth theme scripture from 3 Nephi 5:13!
Add the youth song, “I Am a Disciple of Christ,” to your playlist!

And if we run into each other somewhere, I can’t wait to hear how you are doing on those four things. Don’t forget to tell me. And you can ask me how I am doing too!

We will encourage each other.
That’s what good friends do!
