Volume 18, Number 8

On the cover: Four years ago, Irene Gozzi was among 130 participants in a multi-stake Young Women camp in Italy. The camp still influences the lives of those who were involved. See “Remembering the Light,” page 34. (Cover photography by Don Thorpe.)

Back cover: Putting up tents in the wind, making tables from wooden poles and ropes, and cooking without modern conveniences became happy memories of a Young Women camp in Italy. But what of the lasting influences? See “Remembering the Light,” page 34. (Cover photography by Don Thorpe.)

Inside back cover: Orson Hyde Dedicates Palestine for the Return of the Jews, by Clark Kelley Price. Elder Orson Hyde of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles recorded his experience as he dedicated the Holy Land: “On Sunday morning, October 24 [1841], a good while before day, I arose from sleep, and went out of the city as soon as the gates were opened, crossed the brook Kedron, and went upon the Mount of Olives, and there, in solemn silence, … offered up [the dedicatory] prayer to Him who lives forever and ever” (History of the Church, 4:456).
