Bear Creek Camp sits on 34 acres in the varied terrain near the Des Moines River, into which runs Bear Creek, and is located roughly eight miles south and west of Boone, Iowa, and about a mile west of the river. The camp features 12 cabins that sleep 12 each, approximately 20 12'x12' tent pads, two RV parking spots with hookups, three bath-houses with flush toilets and hot showers, a dining hall with full kitchen and air conditioning that can serve up to 160 people at a time, an outdoor pavilion with picnic tables for 150, an open air amphitheater which seats 150, beautiful hiking trails, and a bridge over the creek leading to the archery range. The camp has a maximum capacity, cabins and tent pads, of 250 campers at a time.
