Kirtland Sawmill

Nestled within the beauty of historic Kirtland, the reconstructed Kirtland Sawmill demonstrates how timber was cut in the 1830s. This mill cut much of the timber for the woodwork in the Kirtland Temple.

Kirtland Schoolhouse

Kirtland Temple Stone Quarry

Early members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints obtained stone for the Kirtland Temple from the Stannard Quarry. Marks from their work are still visible today.
