Well, what stands out most is the wonderful people that I've met.
Mr. Prime Minister, I'm Ronald Rasband from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We’re very happy to meet you today.
As part of his ten-day South Pacific ministry, Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles met with prime ministers in Fiji and Samoa.
This is the first time that our Church has met with the Prime Minister.
So it was an important event.
Perhaps most humbling and thrilling for me was at the end of our interview,
he asked me to pray with him. He used the words, Can you give me a blessing?
A fellow believer.
Thank you, thank you. In Samoa, Elder Rasband discussed education with the country's prime minister during a meeting in Apia.
She has a great respect for the Church and our people and she says they are very good citizens.
I'm honored to begin a new day in what is a very historic and long relationship with our Church in Samoa. We will begin a new day today.
We will indeed.
The world is. About 2,000 Latter-day Saints in Samoa gathered at a meetinghouse at a youth devotional.
We need you. Momentum now. Miyamoto.
To do what you sing to me tonight, you're fired.
If I may.
Be a witness, that's what we need.
The Apostle received a warm welcome at a church-operated primary school in a village settled by Latter-day Saint pioneers nearly 120 years ago.
Sunyata is a sacred place.
When I visited the site and read the history of David O.
McKay visiting the site, and then as he was leaving, he was so moved by the people.
So my heart melted when I heard them sing. Now I want you to know today
that I love Jesus Christ. Do you love Jesus Christ? I know you do.
It’s an honor to have Elder Rasband, an Apostle of the Lord, visit Sonia to primary school.
Every time we have leaders visit us, they give us hope. They share their love.
I've grown to love the Pacific. I've grown closer to the people.
I'm a little sad to be going home tonight, but I better get home and get ready for general conference.
