New calls announced at the 160th Annual General Conference

During the Saturday afternoon session of general conference on March 31, 1990, the First Presidency announced the calling of ten new members of the Second Quorum of the Seventy and the calling of a new Relief Society General Presidency and a new second counselor to the Young Women General Presidency.

Elder Eduardo Ayala

Elder Eduardo Ayala, 52, a regional coordinator for the Church Educational System in Santiago, Chile. He and his wife, Blanca Ester Espinoza Ayala, are the parents of three children.

Elder Lynn A. Mickelsen

Elder Lynn A. Mickelsen, 54, a farmer and potato shipper, of Idaho Falls, Idaho. He and his wife, Jeanine Andersen Mickelsen, are the parents of nine children.

Elder LeGrand R. Curtis

Elder LeGrand R. Curtis, 65, an orthodontist from Salt Lake City, Utah. He and his wife, Patricia Glade Curtis, are the parents of eight children.

Elder J Ballard Washburn

Elder J Ballard Washburn, 61, of Page, Arizona, serving as mission president of the Arizona Phoenix Mission. He and his wife, Barbara Harries, are the parents of ten children.

Elder Clinton L. Cutler

Elder Clinton L. Cutler, 60, of Draper, Utah, serving as mission president of the Washington Seattle Mission. He and his wife, Carma Nielsen Cutler, are the parents of six children.

Elder Durrel A. Woolsey

Elder Durrel A. Woolsey, 63, of Stockton, California, serving as president of the Arizona Tempe Mission. He and his wife, LaRae Wood Woolsey, are the parents of three children.

Elder Robert K. Dellenbach

Elder Robert K. Dellenbach, 52, executive vice president of American Synergy Corporation, Salt Lake City, Utah. He and his wife, Mary-Jayne Broadbent Dellenbach, are the parents of three sons.

Elder Harold G. Hillam

Elder Harold G. Hillam, 55, an orthodontist from Idaho Falls, Idaho. He and his wife, Carol Rasmussen Hillam, are the parents of seven children.

Elder Kenneth Johnson

Elder Kenneth Johnson, 49, a partner in an insurance brokerage, from Norwich, England. He and his wife, Pamela Wilson Johnson, are the parents of a son.

Elder Helvecio Martins

Elder Helvecio Martins, 59, of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, serving as mission president of the Brazil Forteleza Mission. He and his wife, Ruda Tourinho de Assis Martins, are the parents of four children.

New Relief Society General Presidency

President Elaine L. Jack

President Elaine L. Jack, of Salt Lake City, Utah, was serving as the second counselor in the Young Women General Presidency at the time of her call. She and her husband, Joseph E. Jack, are the parents of four sons.

First Counselor, Chieko H. Okazaki

First Counselor, Chieko H. Okazaki, of Salt Lake City, Utah, was serving as a member of the Primary General Board. She and her husband, Edward Y. Okazaki, are the parents of two sons.

Second Counselor, Aileen H. Clyde

Second Counselor, Aileen H. Clyde, of Springville, Utah, has served as a ward and stake Relief Society president. She and her husband, Hal M. Clyde, are the parents of three sons.

Janette C. Hales

Janette C. Hales, of Provo, Utah, a member of the Utah State Legislature, was serving as a member of the Primary General Board. She and her late husband, Robert H. Hales, are the parents of five children.
