The winter was almost gone,

but that night

was still white and cold,

with flakes of snow

dancing in the hallway.

I walked inside

to say good-bye

to the girl I used to be.

At the same time, baby buds

were held in arms of trees

and were to bloom,

touched by the morning sun.

That night my heart

melted in the streams

of water,

and I was awakened

to the first day of the spring

of my life.
