Lessons I Learned as a Boy

President Gordon B. Hinckley recalls a story of an older boy and his young companion as they find an old coat and a badly worn pair of shoes by the roadside. The younger boy at first suggests a prank, but his older friend has a different idea. Together they bless the life of a man in need and become better themselves as a result.

“Charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.”
—Moroni 7:47
