Strengthening Family Relationships

The relationship between fathers and sons and between mothers and daughters can be nurturing, joyful, and profoundly influential. Elder M. Russell Ballard counsels parents and children to strengthen this bond by trusting, listening to, praying with, teaching, and loving each other.

Elder Ballard’s article “Parents and Children: Listening, Learning, and Loving” in the February 2011 New Era is a valuable resource in helping both parents and children take full advantage of this relationship.

“In these last days it is essential—even critical—that parents and children listen to and learn from one another.”
